The Best Job Sites to Find the Latest Jobs in Kenya

job sites

The high unemployment rate in the country has of the past few years led to an explosion of job sites in the country. Right now there are so many of them to keep up with and in a way that's a good thing because it fuels competitiveness and in that line better quality.

However that's not always the case and what I'm seeing at this point is more of a redundancy. Of the myriad of the the job sites quite a few only offer any thing that makes them stand out from the pack. The order of the day seems to rest on the idea of posting as many of the same jobs as possible in a day. Quantity is good but why should I visit your site if the same jobs are posted on these other site(s)?

I think you get the idea. So without further ado let's look at some of the job sites that do stand out from the rest.

Other Job Sites worth Checking Out

Most of these post similar jobs however that's not to mean the above don't too. The only difference is that they don't offer much else other than jobs posts which I recognize might be all you need.

1. Kenyan Career
Sister site to the local tabloid Daily Post. Has a high volume of job postings that is updated daily. You can subscribe to get job alerts via email.

2. Kenyan Jobs
Popular site with high volume of jobs. Has plenty of job categories and an email subscription for job alerts.

3. Advance Africa
This is a text based site as far as I can tell. The homepage is nothing short of  a mess, you'd actually think they don't post jobs even. The job links can be found in this page

*There are a lot more sites of this nature, I just can't exhaust all of them here. Just google Kenyan Jobs and see for yourself how many hits you'll get.

Aggeregators

The following are not really job sites, rather they aggreragte jobs on their site from most of the sites I've listed here. The jobs are however not posted on the site rather they redirect you to the original site. So no copy paste, just links.

1. Star Classified
Star as the Star Newspaper. Claims to aggregate jobs from over 17 sites.

2. Kenya Moja
The popular web portal has a job section that aggregates jobs from some of the above sites.

3. Job Rapido (Kenya)
This is a global job site that has a Kenyan section.

Disclaimer

It should go without saying that not all jobs posted on most of this sites are authentic. Scammers are out on the loose so don't be that desperate to fall for their dirty tricks. For starters, there are no such things as agency, medical or any other fee that you should pay before going for an interview, even if they say it's refundable after the interview. Another thing you should be on the lookout for are fake interviews. If the issue of a "fee" comes up during the interview, that's not a good sign.

Anyways good luck job hunting and don't forget to share this article with your fellow job hunters.
